The ICG/653/Universal Cable Gland is a Group II certified barrier gland designed for use in Zone 1/21 and Zone 2/22 hazardous areas. It is dual certified ATEX/IECEx for Increased Safety (Exe), Flameproof (Exd), Restricted Breathing (ExnR), and Dust (Ext) protection. Ideal for elastomer and plastic insulated cables, especially those with ‘cold flow’ characteristics, the gland features a fully inspectable transparent elastomeric compound chamber. It provides a low smoke, zero halogen seal for both the inner and outer cable sheaths, along with a reversible armour clamp for various armour types. With IP66, IP67, IP68, and IP69 ingress protection, the gland is available with ExPress or QSP compound options and metric or NPT threadforms.
